When in camp, you'll find Northern Lights guides have carried all the ingredients for our sumptuous backcountry meals. You need to carry little more than a camera, water bottle and your clothing. very hard." Working As a Sea Kayaking Guide at Northern Lights Guiding for Northern Lighs is considered a dream job by many. While we have great guides on our staff, we are always on the lookout for new guides. Jobs are open for both assistant and lead guides. Our employment season is June through September each season and is based in Port McNeill, BC. Guides must have meet current certification standards in British Columbia for sea kayaking guides. Lead guides must have two years experience guiding. Assistant guides must have adequate experience and training. Wages average above standard for the industry.
