25th
Anniversary
It’s
our 25th season on the British Columbia coast and we’ll
continue to spare no effort to bring you the finest wilderness
kayaking adventures in the world. Here’s what’s
in store for 2007:
Our
Heritage Trips:
Revisiting Baja w/ a special 25th
Anniversary Mothership adventure to the Sea of Cortez.
Only one date is available, April 16-21, and there are just
a few spaces left. From our departure point of La Paz on the
southern Baja Peninsula, our ship travels northward from island
to island in the inland sea, encountering dolphins, whales,
pelicans and, while snorkeling, amazing variety of fish and
even sea lions.
Our
Classic Trips:
Our Inside
Passage kayaking trips are the benchmark for quality wilderness
sea kayaking adventures. Our two pristine camps serve as comfortable
bases from which to explore some remarkably varied habitats,
as well as to encounter many of the large variety of wildlife
living in the sea, on the islands and in the air. Whales and
eagles are the icons of these adventures.
Our
Most Popular New Trips Ever:
Our Wild
Orca Adventures took off immediately when we started them
just five years ago. While they are the shortest trips we
have offered in a long time at only four days, they’re
packed with wildlife and kayaking. And if you have just one
extra day, you can add a spectacular grizzly watching experience
to your holiday. With whales and grizzlies, you’ll experience
the two most impressive large animals in North America.

Exciting Additions for Our 25th Season
Here
are some of the improvements you’ll see this season:
• We will be supplying new, soft and warm sleeping
bags this season, with luxurious silk/cotton
liners; no need to pack your own or to go out and buy a sleeping
bag.
• In the ‘Blackfish
Café’: whenever possible and
practical, we will use organically
produced food in our camp kitchen. We have some new recipes
for you and we’ll also be providing enough wine for
a taste at each evening meal.
• We’ll have a whole new set of expedition quality
tents this season,
roomy, comfortable and with good ventilation.
• New sleeping pads, too:
softer, larger, more comfortable than ever before.
• Bar-b-Qs:
at each base camp, we’ll have a great bar-b-q to help
make our meals even better.
• Hydrophones:
at our two camps along Johnstone Strait, we’ll have
fixed hydrophones that will transmit any orca calls in the
area into our camp.
• Last but not least, we’re aiming to have the
finest outhouses
on the coast this season.
• Guides:
while some of our best guides from 2006 are returning, we
have upgraded our staff by adding four excellent new guides
with great personalities and lots of experience. Stay
tuned for our next newsletter where we'll start to introduce
you to our 2007 guides.

sixty guests who called us too late and some of our trips
are already full for this season! Check out our various
camping

for the 2007 season. We look forward to having you share
our 25th season with us.
