arrangements to get you to our departure points. Below are

All
our trips meet in Port McNeill, British Columbia. The primary
ways to get to our meeting point are listed below, and alternate
methods are listed at the bottom of this page.
How
to get to Port McNeill:
- Fly
to Vancouver, BC (Canada).
- Fly
from Vancouver to Port Hardy, BC (north end of Vancouver
Island).
There
are two airlines offering service between Vancouver airprt
(YVR) and Port Hardy airport (YZT). From Port Hardy, a taxi
can take you to Port McNeill, about half an hour from the
airport. Northern Lights will arrange for taxi service between
Port Hardy and Port McNeill. The cost of this taxi is not
included in the trip.
It is recommended that you allow at least two hours
between connecting flights in Vancouver.
Pacific Coastal airlines can be found online at www.pacific-coastal.com,

NOTE: Pacific Coastal offers an extended summer schedule,
featuring many more flights to and from Port Hardy than
they do in the off-season. Contact them directly for more
information.
Eagle

NOTE:
Inside Passage and Wild Orca Adventures have a pre-trip
meeting the evening before your trip, so you need to arrive
in Port McNeill the day before.

Other
Travel Options
There
are other travel options to get to Port McNeill - specifically,
driving, taking a sea plane from Kenmore, Washington, and
taking a bus from Vancouver. See below for details.
Driving
from Vancouver
Approximate time from Vancouver to Port McNeill by car
is 8 hours, which includes a two-hour ferry ride and waiting
time for the ferry. Actual driving time is approximately
5 hours on good highways. A driving guide and road map will
be included in your trip package. Ferry information can

Sea
Plane from Kenmore, WA
Kenmore Air runs scheduled flights from Kenmore (just
north of Seattle, Washington) to Port McNeill regularly
throughout the summer. Departure from Kenmore is at 9am,
arriving in Port McNeill at 12:00pm. Departure from Port
McNeill is at 12:30am, arriving in Kenmore around 3:30pm.

Sea
Plane from Renton, WA
Sound
Flight runs scheduled flights from Renton (near Seattle-Tacoma
airport) to Port McNeill regularly throughout the summer
on their seaplanes and wheeled planes*. Departure from Renton
is at 4pm, arriving in Port McNeill at 7:30pm. Departure
from Port McNeill is at 10:30am, arriving in Renton around
2:00pm. Sound Flight operates a shuttle from Sea-Tac airport
to their Renton terminal. Please call 866-921-3474, or visit

you're flying into Port McNeill on a wheeled plane you will
need a taxi to your hotel; we're happy to make that reservation
for you.
Bus
from Vancouver
Greyhound Canada runs one trip per day between Vancouver
and Port McNeill. The bus leaves Vancouver around 5am and
arrives in Port McNeill around 3pm, and departs southbound
at around 9am each day. Check online at www.greyhound.ca
